Previewing and Publishing
Publishing your menus, categories, and items on TastyFood ensures they are visible to your customers. On this page, you'll learn how to:

Why Publish Your Menu?
When your menu is published, it will be visible to your diners and can be accessed through your menu link or by scanning a QR code. It will only display published categories and items.
When creating a new menu, it is in an unpublished state by default. Carefully review your menu and update its publish settings when you are ready to make it visible to customers (learn how).
Why Publish Your Categories and Items?
When creating a new category or item, whether using Menu Magic or manually, it is not published by default. Only published categories and items on a published menu are visible to your diners.
Once a category or item is published, any updates you make (e.g. changes to the description, pricing, or other details) will be instantly reflected on your live menu for customers to see.
Publishing Mode & Publish All
Publishing Mode allows you to easily publish multiple items at once.

Navigate to the Menu Editor (learn how) and enter Publish Mode by clicking the Publish button at the top of the page

Select either the Publish All or Select Items button
- Publish All: All categories and items will be published
- Select Items: Select the checkbox of categories or items you want to publish, then click the Publish button

Navigate to the Publish Mode from the Menu Editor (learn how) and enter Publish Mode by clicking the button

Either:
- Publish all categories and items by clicking the button
- Select checkboxes for the specific categories or items you want to publish, then click the button
Any categories or items you select in Publish Mode will be set to published. Items that are not selected will remain in their current published or unpublished state.
Unpublishing
To hide a menu, category, or item from customers, simply edit the desired entity and turn off the Publish toggle. Please note that bulk unpublishing is not available, and each menu, category, or item must be unpublished individually. Unpublished entities remain fully editable and can be published again whenever you are ready.
Preview Your Menu Before Publishing
Preview Mode allows you to see your menu as it will appear to your customers before the menu, categories and items are published.
In the Preview Menu card, click the button to view your menu in Preview Mode.
View Your Menu
Review your live menu to ensure that all menus, categories, and items are published and visible to customers as intended.
Click the View Menu button to view your live menu.
In the Share Menu card, click the View Menu button to view your live menu.
When viewing your live menu, you can copy and share the URL. This is your unique restaurant link for customers! Reorder your menus to the order in which you would like them displayed (learn how).
